froyo vs ice cream

Heyyyyyyy
I just wanted to talk about the dif between froyo and ice cream. So basically I love fro yo, but I gotta say ben & jerrys is the bomb.com.
Fro yo has a lot of "natural" flavors, but really, it's all chemical shit, and same with ice cream. Ice cream def tastes more artificial, but fro yo doesn't use any "natural flavorings." Look it up if you don't believe me. :)
My fav frozen yogert places include:
Pinkberry, ofc.

Sweetfrog (cheap w/lots of yummy flavors):

Sweetberry (close to my house & and they have other cafe food too, so it's not just froyo)

&yogen fruz! they have lots of coupons, soooo yeah cheap fro yo= boss :)

AS FOR ICE CREAM;

given.

haha bye guys and go get ur fat asses up and go get some fro yo

kk;)

Shilla Bakery & WTF IS TUMBLR???

I feel SO behind on this "trend". You know, Tumblr... And I don't even know if I should even make one, so whatever! I didn't know about it until like last month... Anyways, one of my New Year's resolutions is to blog more often, and I am def doing it. But, I don't know what to blog about. I mean my life is pretty boring...
So I'll just tell you my fav places to eat... I guess that's an okay thing to blog about... Right?

Shilla Bakery... Iv'e been going there A LOT lately... I get the chocolate mousse... which is pretty much my all time favorite dessert. But, I really don't like their fruity mousses, because they don't taste good to me. Btw, yes, I know it's like an Asian place, and no I'm not asian, but it is honestly the best place I've ever eaten. I really love their cakes, they are SO cute. My birthday is coming up, and I am so going to get my cake from there. And I'm sure it'll taste good too, because pretty much everything there does. I also took my friend there the other day, and she'd never had chocolate mousse before, she didn't like it very much. Taste buds these days... -_-

Aren't they so cute??

So that's it for today, next time I'll blog about Pinkberry, Georgetown Cupcakes, and some other places that I've been to recently. So, stay tuned!!
<3 Sally

I didn't take these pictures, I got them off of google images, cause I'm a lazy butt. Here are the URLs in which the pictures are from... credit goes to them!!

Apples instead of coffee to keep you awake?

Hey guys :)
So I heard that apples can work better then caffeine to help keep you awake. Now, the question is, is it true or not?
I'm the kind of girl that goes to Starbucks every morning before school and I feel better knowing that I'm going to be awake and alert all day. (In case you guys were wondering I get the White Mocha Frap, its my fav:D) The thing is, caffeine is a stimulant; a legal drug pretty much. I didn't know this two weeks ago. And, coffee makes your teeth yellow, so I decided to just stop drinking it all together. The thing is, I've been feeling pretty darn tired in 1st period, and it kind of sucks. So, when I heard that apples can work to help keep you awake, I got pretty exited, because I love apples and I wouldn't mind making them part of my cheerios breakfast every morning.
So, i found out that that yes apples CAN help keep you awake.

Apples and other fruits contain natural sugars which will provide some immediate blood-sugar boost for your alertness. But if your blood-sugar is already at a level equated with being well-fed (having eaten a moderately sized bowl of pasta or cereal in the past few hours, for example) and apple, fruit, or any other food will do very little to increase your alertness.

Caffeine, as a stimulant, will artificially increase your alertness. No-Doze and other anti-sleep pills are usually nothing more than higher-dose caffeine tablets. Unlike food, which plateaus in how much alertness it provides (and eventually decreases alertness, that heavy, sedentary feeling after holiday meals for instance), caffeine will continue to boost alertness up until it either kills you from toxic poisoning, or causes a heart attack or stroke.
Hope you guys will join me in not drinking coffee after reading this :)
Have an awesome day, and please follow my blog, I'll post more soon.

Love,
Sally <3333

Do you know what lives in your eyelashes?

If you didn't know, yes there are living mites in your eyelashes! I found this off of http://www.worsleyschool.net/science/files/eyelash/creatures.html
Check it out!

Demodex folliculorum, or the demodicid, is a tiny mite, less than 0.4 mm long, that lives in your pores and hair follicles, usually on the nose, forehead, cheek, and chin, and often in the roots of your eyelashes.
(A follicle is the pore from which a hair grows). Demodicids have a wormlike appearance, with legs that are mere stumps. People with oily skin, or those who use cosmetics heavily and don't wash thoroughly, have the heaviest infestations ... but most adults carry a few demodicids. Inflammation and infection often result when large numbers of these mites congregate in a single follicle.

The mites live head-down in a follicle, feeding on secretions and dead skin debris. At the left, you can see three demodicids buried in the follicle of a hair, and you can also see the hair's shaft. If too many mites have buried into the same follicle, it may cause the eyelash to fall out easily.
An individual female may lay up to 25 eggs in a single follicle, and as the mites grow, they become tightly packed. When mature, the mites leave the follicle, mate, and find a new follicle in which to lay their eggs. The whole cycle takes between 14 to 18 days.
Sometimes demodex is called the 'face mite', since it is often associated with blackheads, acne and other skin disorders (although it is not the cause of these). Demodex are harmless and don't transmit diseases, but large numbers of demodex mites may cause itching and skin disorders, referred to as Demodicosis.

The mites have tiny claws, and needlelike mouthparts for eating skin cells. Their bodies are layered with scales, which help them anchor themselves in the follicle. The mite's digestive system results in so little waste that the mite doesn't even have an excretory opening. So although there may be mites in your eyelashes, there isn't any mite poop! Thank goodness!
However ... did you know that you go to sleep at night on a pillow that is home to many thousands of dust mites ...which help keep our homes clean by consuming the tens of millions of skin cells we shed each day? Just pretend they're not there!
